Return Policy

We apply a 15-day return policy, which means you have 15 days after receiving your item to request a return.


To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


To start a return, you must complete the return form or contact us at hello@shoptopnotch.ca.


If your return is accepted, we will provide you with a prepaid return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Before returning any device:


iPhone:

Reset: Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings

Disable Location: Settings > [your NAME] > Find My > Find My iPhone > Disable Find My iPhone

Samsung:

Settings > General Management > Reset


If, upon receipt, the Find My feature is still active or the device has not been reset, Top Notch reserves the right to charge additional service or shipping fees. Refunds may be delayed in this case. Top Notch also reserves the right to return the device if you fail to deactivate Find My iPhone remotely within one (1) month after being informed. After this period, Top Notch will return the device to the original shipping address and cancel the refund. If the device cannot be recovered or delivered, Top Notch will not be held responsible and may dispose of the device.


Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions and non-returnable items

Custom products (special orders or personalized items) are not eligible for return. Discounted items and gift cards are also final sale and cannot be returned.


Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a new purchase separately.


Refunds

We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Warranty Policy – Top Notch

All our pre-owned and refurbished devices are tested and certified. This warranty policy defines the coverage and limitations applicable to protect both the customer and the merchant.

Warranty period

All devices are covered by a 6-month in-house warranty from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. This warranty is in addition to the legal warranty under Québec’s Consumer Protection Act, which requires that purchased goods remain functional for a reasonable time.

Coverage

The warranty covers defects in normal use, such as hardware or software failure preventing proper use of the device, or a defective camera or speaker. The battery is covered if its capacity is below 80% within 30 days of purchase.

Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

– Physical damage (cracked screen, broken back glass, bent frame).

– Damage caused by water or humidity (triggered liquid contact indicators).

– Normal wear and tear (battery at 85% or higher, minor scratches).

– Issues linked to the use of uncertified accessories.

– Repairs or modifications made by unauthorized third parties.

Cosmetic grades

Cosmetic grades describe only the external appearance of the device and not its performance. “Like new” means very light usage; “very good” means a few minor marks; “good” means more visible marks. Regardless of the grade, functional performance is identical.

Return procedure

Customers must complete the online return form, provide the original invoice, reset the device, and remove all iCloud/Google accounts. The device must be shipped using the prepaid return label provided by Top Notch. Upon receipt, our technicians will inspect the device, and their evaluation will be final in determining whether the warranty applies.

Resolution

If a covered defect is confirmed, we will repair the device at no cost, replace it with an equivalent model, or issue a partial or full refund, as appropriate.

Limitation of liability

Top Notch’s liability is limited to the purchase value of the device. We are not responsible for data loss, service interruptions, or indirect damages. Customers are responsible for backing up their data before returning a device.

Delays

Returns are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days of receipt.

Final clause

By purchasing, the customer acknowledges having read this policy and agrees that any decision made by our technicians regarding the warranty is final and not subject to appeal.
